For the past 15 years, Chef David Seguin has been cooking up creative and delicious dishes in the Orlando, Florida area. Born in Tallahassee, David developed his passion for cooking with his parents and grandparents. David started his first job in the hospitality industry as a dishwasher in a local Italian restaurant in Lake Mary, FL. Upon graduating from Florida State University with a degree in economics in 2003, he began a career in the financial services industry until 2008, when the financial crisis left him looking for a new direction. While serving part-time at a local restaurant the need for a saute cook arose, taking on that challenge was the start of his culinary career. In 2010 he accepted a position with Ruth’s Hospitality Group and quickly moved up through the ranks to become the executive chef at Mitchell’s Fish Market, where he was able to create fresh seasonal seafood dishes and participate in craft local events. From there he moved to the heart of Orlando’s restaurant scene and the very busy tourist district with the Tavern Restaurant Group. Here he was able to gain the experience of executing large-scale corporate events and banquets. Having worked in both fine dining and casual fast-paced environments in the hospitality industry David is uniquely positioned to find and match the perfect candidates with the right jobs.
